BINGO “2nd Chance” INTERNET Contest Extension

January 29, 2016 – June 3, 2016

The “Bingo 2nd Chance Internet Contest Extension” (the “Extended Contest”) is sponsored by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (“OLG” or the “Sponsor”). The Extended Contest is managed by SplashDot, Inc. (the “Contest Manager”), acting on behalf of the Sponsor for the purposes of this Contest. The Contest fulfillment is managed by The Marco Corporation (the “Contest Administrator”), acting on behalf of the Sponsor for the purposes of this Extended Contest.

This Extended Contest is a continuation of the BINGO “2nd Chance” INTERNET Contest (the “Original Contest”), which began on May 18th, 2015 and was set for expiration on January 29th, 2016 at 4:59:59 pm (the “Original Contest Period”). This Extended Contest commences on or around 5:00:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29th, 2016 and ends on or around Friday, June 3rd, 2016 at 4:59:59 p.m., all as determined in the sole and absolute discretion of the Contest Manager (the “Extended Contest Period”). Collectively, the Original Contest and the Extended Contest make up the entire BINGO “2nd Chance” INTERNET Contest (the “Contest”). For the purposes of these Rules and Regulations (the “Rules”), all times and dates refer to Eastern Time.

By entering this Contest or accepting any Prize (as defined below in Rule 2), entrants accept and agree to be legally bound by these Rules. All decisions relating to the administration of the Extended Contest and/or the Original Contest, whether such decisions are made by the Sponsor, the Contest Manager, and/or the Contest Administrator, are final and binding with no right of appeal.

Contest Eligibility, Chances of Winning

  1. The Extended Contest is open to residents of Ontario who (at the time of participation) are: (i) eighteen (18) years of age or older; and (ii) not self-excluded as determined by the Sponsor. Volunteers, employees, officers or directors (including full-time, part-time, and student employees, persons who are directly on the payroll of, and persons who are on paid or unpaid leave) of: the Sponsor; the Sponsor’s advertising, promotion, and contest management agencies; the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (“AGCO”); the Sponsor’s authorized retailers; the Contest Manager; the Contest Administrator; and/or individual consultants or public sector employees retained by the Sponsor through contracts of retainer for periods of thirty (30) days or more (in aggregate) are not eligible to participate.
  2. In the event that a selected entrant does not meet the eligibility requirements set forth herein, or in the event that a previously eligible participant no longer meets the eligibility requirements set forth herein, all as determined by the Contest Administrator in their sole and absolute discretion, then such participant shall be disqualified and there shall be no obligation to award any Weekly Prizes or Grand Prize to such entrant (as defined below in Rule 5) (each a “Prize” and collectively the “Prizes”).
  3. The chance of winning a Prize is dependent on the number of Entries received (as at the date of the relevant draw) for the Original Contest and the Extended Contest. NO PURCHASE IS REQUIRED.
  4. The Contest takes place in Ontario, Canada.


  1. There are two (2) categories of Prizes available to be won for the Extended Contest, as outlined below:

  2. Eligible entrants are limited to winning one (1) Weekly Prize per Weekly Draw and one (1) Grand Prize for the Extended Contest. For greater certainty, eligible entrants are eligible to win more than one (1) Weekly Prize during the Extended Contest and the Original Contest (provided such Prizes are won in separate Weekly Draws), and, provided all other requirements of the Rules are met, all eligible entries from both the Original Contest and the Extended Contest remain eligible for all draws throughout both Contest periods. Winning Entries will be re-entered for all subsequent draws, provided the relevant entrant maintains eligibility in accordance with the Rules.

How to Enter

  1. There are five (5) ways to enter the Extended Contest as follows (each an “Entry” collectively, the “Entries”):
    1. Carryover Entries from Original Contest: all eligible entries received by the Contest Manager during the Original Contest Period will be automatically entered into the Extended Contest for both the Weekly Prize and Grand Prize Draws, provided that the Contest Sponsor, Contest Administrator, or Contest Manager do not become aware that the relevant entrant is no longer eligible;
    2. Online Entry: in order to be entered into the Weekly Draw and Grand Prize Draw by online entry, beginning Friday, January 29th, 2016 at 5:00:00 p.m., eligible entrants must:
      1. purchase an eligible OLG Instant Bingo Game Ticket (#3019) or OLG Bingo Super Instant Ticket (#3018) that features the “Bingo 2nd Chance Internet Contest” (each a “Ticket” and collectively the “Tickets”). The eligible entrant must scratch the Ticket to reveal their 11 character alphanumeric Bingo 2nd Chance Internet Contest Code (the “Code”) located on the scratch-off area at the bottom of the Ticket;
      2. register for the Extended Contest at by selecting the “Bingo 2nd Chance Internet Contest” link, or by going directly to (the “Contest Website”). The prospective eligible entrant must then follow the instructions to set up an email address and password and complete the registration form, submitting their name, address, email address, phone number, and date of birth. Any subsequent Entries will be based on the information provided upon initial registration. Email address and password will be required to log in, update registration information, and for any subsequent Entries. If the eligible entrant had already registered for the Original Contest, this Rule 7(b)(ii) does not apply, and the eligible entrant may use their existing account by using their existing login credentials and proceeding to enter according to these Rules;
      3. go to the “Enter Tickets” page and correctly enter the Code as indicated. Once the Code is entered, the eligible entrant must click “Submit”. Each individual Code may only be entered only once for the Original Contest Period and the Extended Contest Period. Eligible entrants will receive one (1) Entry into the Weekly Draws and one (1) entry into the Grand Prize Draw for each unique Code submitted; and
      4. in the event a prospective eligible entrant is unable to enter their Code, they may contact the OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098.
    3. No Purchase Necessary: to receive one (1) no-purchase-necessary entry contest code (each, a “NPN Contest Code”) for Entry into the Weekly Draws and the Grand Prize Draw, prospective eligible entrants must:
      1. print their first name, last name, full address (Street, Apt./Suite, City/Town, Province, Postal Code), email address, day and evening telephone numbers, date of birth, and the words “BINGO 2nd Chance INTERNET Contest” clearly on one page of 8 ½” x 11” paper (letter-size), and mail it with one (1) postage pre-paid stamped envelope to the BINGO “2nd Chance” INTERNET Contest, PO Box 4099, Paris, ON N3L 3W9. A limit of one (1) NPN Contest Code will be provided per posted request. Including additional postage pre-paid stamped envelopes will not result in additional NPN Contest Codes being granted. NPN Contest Codes may take one to five (1-5) business days from receipt to be processed by the Contest Administrator and delivery of a NPN Contest Code is dependent on Standard Canada Post delivery times;
      2. NPN Contest Codes will be delivered via Standard Canada Post, which will take approximately two to seven (2-7) business days, depending on the entrant’s location. Entrants submitting a NPN Contest Code will need to return to the Contest Website, log in with their email address and password, and submit their NPN Contest Code on the ENTER TICKETS page. Once their NPN Contest Code is accepted, they will receive one (1) Entry valid for the Weekly Draws, and one (1) Entry valid for the Grand Prize Draw;
      3. NPN Contest Codes must be submitted on the ENTER TICKETS page by the end of the Extended Contest Period to be eligible for the Grand Prize Draw. All entries received after the Extended Contest Period will not be considered for the Grand Prize Draw; and
      4. Participants will receive one (1) Entry into the Weekly Draws and one (1) Entry into the Grand Prize for each unique NPN Contest Code submitted. Sharing NPN Contest Codes is prohibited.
    4. Bonus Entries: eligible entrants will receive one (1) bonus Entry for every two (2) valid unique Codes or NPN Contest Codes submitted in accordance with these Rules.
    5. Bonus Drop Game: eligible entrants who submit their first unique Code or NPN Contest Codes (in accordance with these Rules), and after every subsequent five (5) unique Codes and/or NPN Contest Codes submitted, may play “Bonus Drop” for a chance to randomly earn five (5), ten (10), or twenty-five (25) bonus entries (the “Bonus Entries”) per Bonus Drop play. Odds of winning each number of Bonus Entries are: five (5) Bonus Entries – seventy percent (70%), ten (10) Bonus Entries – twenty-five percent (25%), twenty-five (25) Bonus Entries – five percent (5%).
  2. Registered participants may submit a maximum of fifty (50) NPN Contest Code Entries per calendar day, or fifty (50) purchased Code Entries per calendar day, or any combination of NPN Contest and purchased Code Entries not exceeding fifty (50) per calendar day, as determined solely by the Contest Administrator. Sharing of Entries or Codes/NPN Contest Codes is prohibited and will result in disqualification from the Extended Contest.

Weekly Draws

  1. Two (2) draws will be held on or after 11:59:59 P.M each Friday during the Extended Contest Period for a total of thirty-six (36) individual draws for Weekly Prizes during the Extended Contest Period (each, a “Weekly Draw” and collectively, the “Weekly Draws”). The first Weekly Draw will occur on or around 11:59:59 P.M. on Friday, February 5th, 2016, and each Friday thereafter on or before 11:59:59 p.m. until the final Weekly Draw which will occur on or around Friday June 3rd 2016 for a total of eighteen (18) Weekly Draws.
  2. The following conditions apply to Weekly Draws:
    1. eligible entrants may only win one (1) Weekly Prize per Weekly Draw;
    2. winning Entries from the Weekly Draws will be re-entered for subsequent Weekly Draws and for the Grand Prize Draw;
    3. Entries must be received by the Contest Manager by 4:59:59 p.m. on the date of the Weekly Draw to be eligible for that subsequent draw, all as determined by the Contest Manager in its sole and absolute discretion;
    4. three (3) back-up Entries will be randomly drawn for each Weekly Draw. In the event that a selected Entry is ineligible to win a Weekly Draw Prize, the first back-up Entry will be deemed to have been the drawn Entry for that Weekly Prize. In the event that the first drawn back-up Entry is ineligible to win a Prize, the second drawn Entry will be deemed to have been the drawn Entry for the Weekly Draw Prize. In the event the second drawn Entry is ineligible to win the Weekly Draw Prize the third drawn Entry shall be deemed to be the drawn Entry for the Weekly Draw Prize. In the event that the third drawn Entry is ineligible to win the Weekly Draw Prize, there shall be no obligation to award the relevant Weekly Draw Prize to anyone, but the Contest Administrator may, in its sole and absolute discretion, redraw three (3) backup Entries in accordance with this Rule 10(d) and repeat this process; and
    5. Weekly Draw Prizes will be issued as a cheque for five-hundred dollars ($500 CAD).

Grand Prize Draws

  1. Eligible Entries will be entered into a draw for ten thousand dollars ($10,000 CAD) (the “Grand Prize Draw”) to be held after the Extended Contest Period closes. One (1) winner of the Grand Prize will be selected by random draw from all eligible Entries received by 4:59:59 p.m. on Friday, June 3rd, 2016.
  2. Ten (10) back-up entries will be randomly drawn for the Grand Prize Draw in the same method as Rule 11. If no eligible Entry is drawn within the first Entry drawn and the ten (10) back-up Entries there shall be no obligation to award the Grand Prize to anyone, however, the Contest Sponsor may, in its sole and absolute discretion, redraw ten (10) back-up Entries, and such Entries shall be assessed in accordance with the method outlined in this Rule 12.
  3. Provided all other requirements of these Rules are met, the winner of the Grand Prize will receive a Prize of ten thousand dollars ($10,000 CAD), issued as a cheque.
  4. A Grand Prize Draw-winning Entry from the Original Contest is eligible to win the Grand Prize for this Extended Contest.

Winner Notification for Prizes

  1. Attempts will be made to contact each potential winner of a Weekly Prize or the Grand Prize at the telephone number and/or email address provided with his/her registration information, within ten (10) business days following the date of the applicable draw. Four (4) telephone calls will be made at different times between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. ET. The potential winners must return any message left by the Contest Administrator within the timeframe stipulated in the message to remain eligible to receive the prize. Prize claiming details will be provided at the time of contact. It remains the responsibility of the entrant to make appropriate inquires as to their status as a potential winner.
  2. If, within ten (10) business days of the first attempt to contact a potential winner, he/she has not been able to be contacted or confirmed for the respective Prize, or is otherwise ineligible to receive the Prize, his/her Entry will be deemed ineligible and he/she will not win the respective prize. The back-up Entries will be contacted according to the order in which they were drawn, (in the event that one or more back-up Entries are ineligible), and the process will continue until such time as a winner is declared or until there are no remaining Entries to select from.
  3. Subject to Rules 10(d) and 12, if no winner is declared for any Prize, that Prize, be it a Weekly Prize or a Grand Prize, will not be awarded. Additional backup Entries may be drawn in the sole and absolute discretion of the Contest Administrator

Personal Data

  1. Any personal information collected by the Contest Sponsor, the Contest Manager and/or Contest Administrator, including but not limited to entrants’ contact information, is collected pursuant to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation Act, 1999 and is intended to be used for the following principle purposes: to conduct and administer the contest by OLG or through a Contest Manager or Contest Administrator, including, but not limited to contacting entrants, validating eligibility and the awarding of the Prize(s); marketing and advertising purposes including providing you with information or services you have opted in to receive, understanding your interests, responding to your concerns and improving service delivery; for OLG's internal business purposes and to comply with legal requirements. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, photo, name, and residence (town or city only) of Prize winners may be posted, published, or announced on the contest website, the OLG website and/or other media for up to 12 months after the selected entrant is confirmed as a winner.


  1. Weekly Prizes and the Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded. No substitutions, assignments, or transfers of prizes permitted, except at the Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.
  2. Prior to being confirmed as a winner, a selected eligible winner will be required to correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without mechanical or other aid. Without limiting the generality of the forgoing, the Releasees (as defined below in Rule 21) reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to administer an alternate test of skill as it deems appropriate based on the circumstances and/or to comply with applicable law.
  3. Weekly Prize winners and the Grand Prize winner acknowledge that the Sponsor and all involved advertising and promotional agencies, the Contest Manager, Contest Administrator, the AGCO, other suppliers providing Prizes or other materials or services in connection with this Contest, anyone else involved in the development or execution of this Contest, each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliated companies and each of their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (the “Releasees”) are not responsible in any manner whatsoever, for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any Prize(s), including but not limited to, its quality, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Further, no responsibilities are accepted for any additional expenses, omissions, delays, re-routing, or acts of any government or authority. In no event will the Releasees be collectively liable for more than the Grand Prize amount.
  4. All winners in the Contest, in advance of receiving their respective prize(s), will be required to sign a Standard Declaration and Release confirming eligibility, compliance with these Rules, and releasing OLG, SplashDot Inc., The Marco Corporation and their respective employees, affiliates and subsidiaries, franchisees, authorized retailers, agents, contractors, representatives, advertising, promotion and contest management agencies, and any independent judging organization from any liability, claims, damages and/or responsibility in connection with the conduct of this Contest or the awarding or use of any Prize(s).
  5. The Sponsor and/or Contest Manager reserves the right to terminate, modify or withdraw this Contest, in whole or in part (including altering the manner in which the Prizes are distributed and whether certain Prizes will be awarded), at any time and for any reason without prior notice, and to disqualify any individual who tampers with the Entry process, violates these Rules, or acts in a disruptive manner. Without limiting the foregoing, the Sponsor and/or Contest Manager may lock out any participant who, in the Sponsor’s or the Contest Manager’s sole judgment, has been disqualified, has questionable eligibility, or is otherwise ineligible to enter the Extended Contest. Without limiting the foregoing, the Sponsor and/or Contest Manager reserves the right to alter any of the time frames, number and value of Prizes, and any other aspect associated with this Extended Contest.
  6. These Rules are subject to change without notice (including, but not limited to, changing the value and number of Prizes, the contest dates and times, or the draw dates and times) in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor and/or Contest Manager.
  7. Any individual who attempts to undermine the legitimate operation of this Extended Contest or to alter or damage the Contest Website may be subject to civil and/or criminal penalties and fines. The Sponsor and Contest Manager reserve the right to seek damages, whether direct or consequential, from any such individual to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  8. The Sponsor, Contest Administrator and the Contest Manager assume no responsibility for: (i) entries lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected; (ii) for the failure, interruption or delay of any mail or email or other communication to be received, for any reason; (iii) any computer viruses, time bombs, logic bombs and any other implanted devices of a like or similar nature that may arise or occur in connection with the Extended Contest; (iv) problems with the function of any website or website feature howsoever caused; (v) the malfunction of, or damage caused to, any telephone network or lines, computer equipment, data or software, online systems, servers or access providers; (vi) any functionality lost due to not having cookies enabled; traffic congestion on the Internet; (vii) the security or privacy of information transmitted via computer networks; (viii) for breaches of privacy due to interference by third party computer “hackers”; or (ix) any combination thereof, as a result of participation in this Extended Contest.
  9. Entries that have been obtained or made through fraudulent means are subject to disqualification. The Sponsor, Contest Administrator, and Contest Manager will not be responsible for entries that are lost, misdirected, or delayed for any reason whatsoever. An entrant is only allowed to register once. More than one registration will invalidate ALL Entries submitted by the person who created the duplicate accounts and each such account will be disqualified. None of the accounts deemed, in the Contest Manager’s sole discretion, to have been entered by this person will be eligible to win ANY Prize. Once registered, only an entrant’s email address and password will be required when visiting the Contest Website.
  10. It is expressly understood and agreed by all participants that OLG, SplashDot Inc. and The Marco Corporation do not accept responsibility, in whole or in part, for loss, damage or injury, whether direct or indirect, howsoever caused in connection with any Prize or the conduct of the Extended Contest.
  11. With respect to this Extended Contest, all decisions of the Contest Manager, Contest Administrator, and Sponsor are final and binding with no right of appeal.
  12. If the identity of a participant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the email address submitted with the Entry in question will be deemed to be the participant for the purposes of the Extended Contest. The individual assigned to the email address for the domain associated with the submitted email address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected participant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the Entry in question, and is otherwise required to meet all eligibility requirements set out in these Rules. Failure to do so may result in disqualification in the sole and absolute discretion of the Contest Manager and/or the Sponsor.
  13. Name and residence (town or city and municipality only) of prize winners may be posted, published, or announced on the Sponsor’s website, and/or other media for up to twelve (12) months after the selected participant is confirmed as the winner.
  14. In the event of any conflict with any provisions contained in these Rules and details contained in any form of related promotional material or media (the “Contest Materials”), these Rules shall prevail.
  15. Draw dates and times are subject to change without notice.
  16. All winning Entries for the Extended Contest will be destroyed on or after May 31, 2019, and all other Entries for the Extended Contest will be destroyed on or after May 31, 2017.
  17. This Extended Contest is subject to the laws of the Province of Ontario and the Federal laws of Canada as applicable.
  18. These Rules govern this Extended Contest and must be complied with. By agreeing to participate in the Extended Contest, all participants agree to comply with, and be bound by these Rules.
  19. The insertion of subheadings in these Rules are for convenience and reference purposes only and will not affect the construction or interpretation of these Rules. All sums of money that are referred to in these Rules are expressed in the lawful money of Canada. References to “discretion”, “sole discretion”, or “solely” mean the absolute, sole, unqualified, subjective discretion of the party having or exercising such discretion. In the event any part of these Rules is found to be void or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remainder of these Rules shall operate to the fullest extent permissible by law.
  20. In the event of any conflict between these Rules for the Extended Contest and the rules for the Original Contest, these Extended Contest Rules shall govern.
